De-stress Before Bed

I am challenging you to take 20 minutes EACH day for the next 3 days to destress!  You can accumulate this as a lump sum or in small accumulative inclings. What helps you reset?  What helps you turn off the distractions and “noise”?  

Here are a few ideas: 

  1. Walk the dog

  2. Yoga

  3. Draw/Paint/Color

  4. Read a book.  Probably a good idea to avoid engrossing fiction before bed!

  5. Laugh!  

  6. Foam roll

  7. Snuggle a pet or a loved one

  8. Call your grandma (or someone else that helps you reset)

  9. Static stretch.  It may be best to do this before bed to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system.

  10. Easy swim

  11. Hottub

  12. Sing and/or Dance

YOU DECIDE!  Set an alarm or scatter post-its to remind yourself.  Self-care is a must in this busy, busy world we live in!
