Habit #3 is to eat at least 5 servings of colorful fruits/veggies per day.  

This will be a challenge however as I’m sure most of us aren’t used to get 2 per day!  You will likely need to work up to this goal. Try to get every color of the rainbow in your diet EVERY day... red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.  Here’s why...Fruits and vegetables are alkaline-producing (neutralizes acid), which helps to preserve muscle and bone mass. They are rich in phytonutrients and antioxidants which helps fight free-radicals that cause our cells to age and dysfunction.  Fruits and vegetables are also high in water and fiber content, which assists in hydration and gut health. All of the above assist in disease prevention! So, get crazy! Go to your grocer’s produce department and try something new and different! Post your newfound produce on instagram and tag JoCo!
